The State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance of Azerbaijan and the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan have signed a protocol of cooperation in order to increase the possibilities of medical insurance, reports Trend via the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan .

The document was signed by Azerbaijani Minister of Health Teymur Musayev, Director of the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance of Azerbaijan Zaur Aliyev and Chairman of the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan.

The memorandum describes the main objectives such as public health, the efficient organization of medical care by expanding the possibilities of medical insurance, the achievement of sustainable economic development in this field and the development of cooperation between health insurance companies. public and private insurance. The document also reflects such important issues as strengthening relations between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance and private insurance companies, organizing information exchange , educational events and other necessary measures.

In order to implement the points of the memorandum, a working group consisting of representatives of private insurance companies is being created based on the proposal of the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance and Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan.

The working group was tasked with researching the problems posed by public-private partnerships in the field of health and proposing solutions; organization of educational training in the field of medical services covered by compulsory health insurance; take measures to increase the interest of private insurance companies not covered by compulsory health insurance in providing insurance offers for medical services; search for international best practices in supplementary health insurance.
