MiamiCoin Disbursement to Fund Rental Assistance Program, Says Mayor Suarez

Upon news that Francis Suarez, Mayor of the City of Miami, took a disbursement of $5.25 million from the MiamiCoin wallet, Cointelegraph asked how the city would use these funds.

Mayor Suarez highlighted Miami’s “affordable housing crisis” focused towards given the rise in rental prices which does not correspond to the median income of the region. He revealed that the City of Miami has been working closely with the CityCoins team since the beginning of the year to resolve this issue.
