Nepal expresses thanks to Qatari aid for delivering aid to Afghanistan

Doha: The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, on Tuesday received a written message from HE the Foreign Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Dr Narayan Khadka, in which he expressed his country’s gratitude for the efforts of the State of Qatar to facilitate the arrival of Nepalese humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

In the message, HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal expressed his thanks and deep appreciation to HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Government of the State of Qatar for their generous cooperation and facilities to ensure the safety and security of the Nepalese Humanitarian Aid Flight to Afghanistan recently.

His Excellency also expressed his aspiration for more friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and to work closely together in the future.

He stressed that this initiative would not have happened without the urgent cooperation and close coordination of the State of Qatar and the Qatari individuals who coordinated on the ground.

His Excellency added that the Qatar Embassy in Kathmandu and HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nepal, Yousef bin Mohammed Al Hail, provided support and cooperated in the coordination with Doha. He expressed his sincere thanks for helping Nepal be part of the humanitarian work, which reflects the close relationship and cooperation between Nepal and the State of Qatar.
